Saw these awesome macro photos of bug faces... naturally, I had to turn them into Riders (they were some amazing colours too, I'll have to colour these).

The top left one does look like a cross between Super-1 and TheBee.

Have you ever seen some of Ishinomori's prelim sketches for the Showa Riders? Amazon was a mantis at one point.
